Dr. Emil Shakov

Emil Shakov, MD, FACS is a board certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons in active clinical practice since 2010.Dr. Shakovreceived his Medical Degree from the American University of the Caribbean where he also earned an Honorary Masters of Science degree.He went on to complete his general surgical internship at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.Dr. Shakov completed his general surgical residency and his chief surgical year at Seton Hall School of Graduate Medical Education at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.He furthered his surgical training by completing a fellowship in MIS, Robotic Surgery, and Bariatric Surgery at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.He began his surgical career in private practice when he joined a group in 2010 focused on emergency acute care surgery.In 2012, Dr. Shakov joined a surgical group with a focus on BariatricSurgery.By 2014, Dr. Shakov opened his own private practice with a focus on general surgery.
